OUR TEAM

All our teachers are university graduates with specialised teaching training in Spanish for foreigners and with many years of teaching experience.

Lola González Martínez.
Founder partner and Spanish teacher

Graduated from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid with a Degree in Hispanic Philology and a Master’s Degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. She has written various Spanish course texts including La Gramática Lola, Emergency: Spanish for Medical Professionals, and a Spanish course book for beginners Básico I amongst others. She is highly specialized in teaching Spanish and has enormous experience in specific teacher training courses for teaching Spanish as a foreign language, in teaching executives, as well as in preparing students for the D.E.L.E examinations.

Graduated from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid with a degree in Journalism. She worked as a reporter for the National Agency of News EFE and for the radio channel COPE amongst other companies. She changed her profession in 1998 after having taught Spanish in Oregon, in the United States, where she lived for nine months. During the last years she has specialized in teaching spanish and has a long experience as a teacher of medical spanish. She is co-author of Emergency: Spanish for Medical Professionals, as well as the General Spanish course material given at TILDE.

Rosa Barceló González.
(Assistant and Marketing Support)

Rosa holds a diploma in Marketing and Communication and has spent her entire career in the field of customer service. She is the first point of contact for students, and manages all queries regarding the courses and accommodation.Rosa's expansive knowledge and experience guarantees that students receive excellent care throughout their stay in the school.

Elena Rodríguez.
(Spanish Teacher)

Elena es licenciada en Historia por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y posgrado en Formación de Profesorado. Su experiencia en el mundo de la enseñanza comenzó como profesora de Secundaria y la continuó en una multinacional ELE. Tras su estancia en Paris en 2001, donde trabajó como profesora, se especializó y obtuvo varios títulos entre los que destaca el conseguido por la Universidad Virtual de Barcelona. Elena es una entusiasta profesora, muy vocacional y sociable, siempre dedicada a ayudar a sus estudiantes en su proceso de inmersión cultural.

Carmen Barrena
Spanish teacher

Carmen has a degree in Spanish Philology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Teacher of Spanish for foreigners with an experience in this field for over 15 years. Throughout her professional career Carmen has been examining of Spanish Foreign Language Diploma (DELE) of the Cervantes Institute on numerous occasions. She has participated of "teaching Spanish to adolescent students" at the Eighth Meeting of teachers practical ELE.
